Adams County Community Foundation

2024 Giving Spree

In 2021, Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center conceived 24 Hours on the Ridge as a fundraising event to be held in conjunction with the annual Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree, which supports non-profit organizations throughout Adams County, Pennsylvania.

On November 1 and 2, join us as we once again remain open to the public for a full 24 hours, filled with engaging activities and entertainment! During this ambitious event, museum admission will be FREE, with donations toward the Giving Spree encouraged and appreciated.

Our goal through this year’s Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree is to raise $17,500 in Today gifts and $10,000 in Forever gifts to support Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center through the winter months.

During the winter, even though visitation to Gettysburg generally wanes, the Museum still bears significant costs to ensure that our 190-year old building and artifacts within stay safe. Our staff also spends this time engaged in tasks to bring our educational message to learners across the globe and plan innovative on-site programing for the upcoming year. Your donation will support this critical work.

By donating through the Giving Spree, your contribution goes farther than at any other time during the year. All participating non-profits receive an extra contribution, from an incentive match, equal to our percentage of overall contributions made during the Giving Spree.

Can’t join us in person? You can mail your donation with a check or by credit card with a donation form, or donate online from 12:01am through 11:59pm on November 7.

Your help is crucial, so please consider donating to Seminary Ridge Historic Preservation Foundation so we can continue our important mission to restore, preserve and maintain the national historic Civil War properties, architecture and historic legacies of Seminary Ridge, and provide related education and communication of these legacies for the general public.

The Adams County Community Foundation’s Giving Spree is
Adams County’s Day of Giving

Connecting donors to groups and organizations that match their charitable intentions is an important role of the Adams County Community Foundation.

One of the ways we help facilitate that connection is through our annual Giving Spree.  At the Giving Spree, everyone in the community is encouraged to learn about nonprofits and support them.

The 2024 Giving Spree is scheduled for Thursday, November 7.

Donors have three ways to give:

  1. Drop off gifts at the Gettysburg Times, Biglerville Library, East Berlin Library, Littlestown Thunderbolt Stadium, or New Oxford H.A.R.T. Center on November 7 from 1pm to 5pm.

  2. Mail gifts using the donation form to arrive by November 7.

  3. Give online at ACCFGivingSpree.org on November 7 from 12:00am to 11:59pm.
