**Legacy Weekend Postponed to 2022**

Due to the continued high rate of community transmission of COVID-19 in Adams County and across the region, we have decided to postpone Legacy Weekend, scheduled for September 18, 2021, to next year.

We are committed to providing an exceptional experience at all of our events, but are equally as dedicated to ensuring the safety of our staff and supporters. We look forward to a safe return to in-person events in 2022.

Refunds will be processed in the coming days for those who are currently registered.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center.

Join us for a safe return to in-person programming! Legacy Weekend, marking the close of the Seminary Hospital, has been a special Seminary Ridge Museum tradition since 2013.

This year, a full day of unique programming will survey the long and storied history of Seminary Ridge. We will explore its historic structures, learn the stories of their inhabitants, and follow in the footsteps of soldiers and civilians whose legacies have defined Seminary Ridge for almost 200 years.

Brand-new programs will explore, in detail:

  • The attack of Scales North Carolina Brigade on July 1, which helped break the back of United States troops on Seminary Ridge.

  • The desperate retreat of Federal forces through the “gauntlet” at the end of the first day of fighting.

  • The heroic stories of men and women in the Seminary Hospital for two and a half months after the battle.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit and discover the stories of historic buildings on Seminary Ridge, including:

  • Krauth House

  • The Chapel of the Abiding Presence

  • Schmucker House

  • And more!

We are thrilled to offer this return to in-person programming and remain committed to keeping all attendees safe. Most programming will be held outdoors and meals will be served in a tent. Please be prepared to wear a face mask and practice social distancing while inside buildings on the United Lutheran Seminary campus.
