“24 Hours on the Ridge”

On November 4 and 5, join us as Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center remains open to the public for a full 24 hours!

In conjunction with the annual Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree our goal is to raise $10,000 through this event.

This occasion will be filled to the brim with exciting events such as live performances, exclusive tours, historian lectures, demonstrations, and more!

Schedule of Events

Thursday, Nov. 4

5:00pm: Welcome by Pete Miele, SRMEC Executive Director

Evening: Rusty Dicks, Civil War Surgeon

5:45 – 6:15: Sunset Cupola Tour (minimum requested donation of $50)

6:00 – 7:30: Dearest Home, authentic Civil War Era and traditional Appalachian music

8:00 – 8:45: Brad Gottfried, Historian and Author – “Lincoln and Gettysburg”

9:00 – 9:45: Eric Lindblade, Historian and Author – “Pettigrew’s Brigade at Gettysburg”

10:00 – 10:45: Exclusive Candlelight Tour

11:30 – 12:00: Midnight Cupola Tour (minimum requested donation of $100) 

Friday, Nov. 5

Midnight – 4:00: In-Exhibit Screening of “Gettysburg”

4:00 – 4:45: Post-Film Discussion

6:00 – 6 :45: Exclusive Candlelight Tour

7:30 – 8:00: Sunrise Cupola Tour (minimum requested donation of $50)

8:00 – 9:00: Light Breakfast in the Lobby

9:00 - 5:00: Hourly Cupola Tours

Morning: Rusty Dicks, Civil War Surgeon

1:00 – 5:00: Jeff Greenawalt, Actor, Musician, Historian, and Gettysburg Living History Town Tour Guide

During this ambitious event, museum admission will be FREE, with donations toward the Giving Spree encouraged and appreciated.

By donating through the Giving Spree, your contribution goes farther than at any other time during the year. All participating non-profits receive an extra contribution, from a stretch pool, equal to our percentage of overall contributions made during the Giving Spree.

Can’t join us in person? You can mail your donation with a check or credit card form or donate online from 12:01am through 11:59pm on November 5.
